Beach Make Up

Hi guys, long time no see 🙂 I’ve been a bit off regular posting last days, due to summer vacations and a lot of press trips, but I’m back.

Last week I was enjoying beautiful Zakynthos with my mum and my sister (YouTube video coming soon) and I thought to show you my beach look. Don’t get me wrong, I normally don’t wear make up to the beach, but when I know I’ll take some photos or spend my day in a beach club, I do put some make up on my face. I try to wear as less as possible but still looking summerish and quite natural, with a touch of summer look.

I was experimenting a little bit with Artdeco’s latest collection Welcome to L.A. (perfect for summer) and this is what I used while enjoying Greece:

  1. Sun Protection Powder with SPF 50

This summer I changed my face SPF cream for mat powder foundation, with SPF 50. Besides giving my skin the much needed protection, it gives me a natural mat finish and perfect skin look. For what is more, it can be used dry or wet (it gives you higher coverage). I use it dry normally, but if you have some problems with your skin, go for the wet option.

2. On the Glow Stick

For the sun-kissed beach glow. I apply a bit of highlighter on my cheekbones and nose bridge and blend it in with my fingers.

3. Metallic Lip Color

Lip Color is the only make up product (besides nail polish) I wear all the time – even on the beach. Always. I normally go for natural lip colours, but this summer I stepped out of my comfort zone and put on Metallic lip colour. Metallic is everything this season and even though I’m not a huge fan of it it felt good wearing it for the beach.

4. 2step GelLacquer

I actually don’t even count a nail polish as a make up, as I wear it all the time. I used to use gelish nail polishes a lot, but in summer I like to let my nails breathe a bit, so the long lasting nail polishes are a must – especially when on the beach.

5. All In One Waterproof Mascara

We all know not all waterproof mascaras are worth its money, but this one is. It peeled of a little bit when being under the water most of the time, which is normally, but I’d totally go for it.

Newest Artdeco collection Welcome to L.A. is full of waterproof products and besides the ones I tried out during my vacations, I’m also looking forward to try waterproof mat Eyeliner and waterproof eyeshadows in stick. Have you tried any of these products already? 🙂
