My little baby is turning 6 months today and I just realised how fast the time flies by! It feels like yesterday when i first touched his little hands and hold him in my arms for the very first time! The day he was born was the best day of my life and even though I’m missing those days when he was just a tinny little baby, cuddling all the time with his mummy and the days when we had time just for ourselves, I’m so happy he’s such a handsome and smiley little boy now, showing me whole new dimension of life and motherhood every day!
Sometimes I wish he would slow down a bit and just be more chillaxed and lazy baby who sleeps more through the night (he goes to sleep at 7, which I’m super happy about, but he started waking up every hour all night long) but when I see how playful, active and lively baby he is all those things really feel unimportant.
And a little update on life at the moment, as I get a lot of those kind of questions daily on my Instagram: as I mentioned he’s super lively baby, smiling all the time and he has so much energy and during the night sometimes he drives me crazy 😀 He’s been waking up every 2-3 hours since he was born (there were better and worse days) which was ok and acceptable for me but for the last two weeks he started waking up every hour which is frankly said exhausting. Well I’m hoping for better days 🙂 He’s sleeping in his room since day 1 but since he started waking up so often I often give up around 3 or 4 AM and just bring him to our bed which is much easier for me but then again I don’t want for him to get used to sleep in a big bed with us all the time. Mom’s problems I know haha. I’m still breastfeeding full time but we started adding solid food to his feeding schedule. First few days he didn’t eat basically anything but now he’s eating like a big boy. I started with vegetables (cauliflower, zucchini, potatoes, carrot) and I’m planning to add fruits these days.
You’ve been asking me a lot about his weight and height – I have no idea about those numbers and they don’t really mean much for me as I know he’s been gaining enough, but I’ll let you know the numbers next week when we have a doctor’s appointment.
A lot of questions come also about where I buy clothes and all the other stuff for Liam. Most of the bodysuits I buy in C&A or H&M – love the quality. His pyjamas are mostly from Next (i love the material and they are warmer) and H&M, but I like Next better. Jeans, sweatshirts, knitwear and all the other stuff I buy at H&M, Zara and Next. I don’t want to spend too much money on basics as bodysuits and track pants but I like to invest a little more into some iconic pieces so I get luxury brands at Babyshop and Alexandalexa. And at the end of the day I buy some clothes at Lidl too – I love their organic line and I think a mixture of everything is always the best way to go. All the other things except clothes are mostly from Mali zakladi. I love love love their store and I could have everything! Some of the things we use and love the most are obviously the Stokke sleeping bed, Bugaboo stroller, Babycook, Nuna Leaf baby swing, Stokke changing table, etc.
You are my favourite reason to loose sleep and you’re my definition of happiness and perfection. Happy 6 months my little munchkin!
Thank you Moja galerija for capturing these special moments! I’m looking forward to his 1 year cake smash photoshooting 🙂
