There’s a lot to coordinate when you’re planning a wedding! From wedding itself to clothes, meetings with the wedding coordinator, photographer, … to most importantly – skin care. And before you even think about bridal makeup, however, you need to focus on your skin. Because no makeup is perfect without a fresh and healthy skin, don’t you agree?
Your wedding photos will be something you’ll want to look back at for the rest of your life (hopefully haha), so you must take all the steps necessary to ensure you have a flawless face. My wedding is only a week away (it’s taking place on 22nd of February) and I’m doing my best. I was actually facing some real skin problems for last 2 months (I’ll tell you more about it some other time), but I’m glad to say that my skin looks almost as it should for the big day.
And how I take care of my skin before the big day?
DAY TO NIGHT – FACE SKIN CARE
Before my foundation and day cream I always apply Reine Blanche Illuminating Lotion that hydrates my skin and gives a smooth foundation to my Reine Blanche day cream. I can feel how lotion brings back some freshness and how the day cream blends in and gives a perfect base to my foundation.
After washing my face at night I try to exfoliate it as often as possible. I barely find time for it, even it it takes literally no time, but in the time before wedding I’m quite persistent with it. I try to exfoliate my face 3-4 times per week with Illuminating Scrub Reine Blanche that gently exfoliates my skin to reveal its inner light. It has a creamy texture that perfectly cleanses and clears skin from impurities. In the past I have had faced with irritated skin when using different peelings, which is why this product is even more important to me!
That’s new to my skin routine but as I wanted to bring back some glow, I’ve been using a Liftactiv Vitamin C Fresh Shot from Vichy for the last few days, with 15% pure Vitamin C that brightens skin in just 10 days. I usually place 4 to 5 drops in the palm of a clean hand and apply it on my face before sleep, using fingertips on freshly cleansed and dry skin. After that I apply serum and Aqualia Thermal SPA night cream and I’m ready for night rest. I’ve been using this night cream for months now and I’m not ready to change it yet and I’ve been using Liftactiv Vitamin C Fresh Shot for only for few days now, but I can already see the difference! Let’s wait until the big day and see how it turns out 🙂
